In June we celebrated My little man's birthday with all his friends and family at Amber Springs Train and Park Events. There was a farm tour for all the kids and adults, face painting, music, go-kart rides, ice-cream and a delicious cake we had made by the Cake Creator yum! It was a great day. July will over by the time I post this and I still cannot believe my son is 5yrs old. Time really does fly. There has been so much going on this summer, I find myself going from birthday parties to playgrounds and Rugby Tots to forest walks. I can only imagine how much more of this fun stuff and more that i'll have to do with this little guy. In August Lorcan will start Junior Infants known as "big school" in his mind HA! This means a great deal to my son and myself who am I kidding. We've already started doing homework for a few minutes during the day just for practice and to be honest it can be a struggle at times. With Lorcan starting school this year I will need to go to bed much earlier which I never do since living in Ireland, I think time difference just messed up my whole rhythm. As of August I have to take going to bed on time seriously and put it into action. There is a lot of talk about taking a holiday but with Lorcan going to Junior Infants soon holiday planning has to now be taken into full consideration because it won't be fair on him to just take it when we want to especially when he doesn't have a break from school. We were thinking of a trip to Sicily or Africa but I think we'll probably have to let it go until sometime next year spring. Earlier this summer I also got promoted at work, I couldn't believe how fast I've grown with the company with me just being there for just over a year. I probably should just pinch myself already HA! This role has taken a few hours away from blogging more frequently, so I better start organizing my time.....now. Hey everyone, this is way over due but I am back with some positive vibes. Last weekend I was going through some blog posts that I wrote over the past 18 months and found this one, which would be perfect to share about my attitudes in life. After rummaging through my old sewing kit, I found something precious, an old book of mine that I use to write inspirational thoughts in. This book of thoughts has been around for eight and half years. After moving house a few times and then moving from Jamaica to Ireland it was great to see I still had it, even if I stumbled across it by accident. It brought back some good memories from the past and some things that really mattered to me. I can honestly say, that many of these attitudes are being applied daily in my life. It feels good to know that even as an young adult I was always moved by inspirational books. In fact, back then I was reading "The Pursuit of Happyness" by Chris Gardner. I watched the film a week ago at home and it had the same impacted on me like it did when I first saw the film in 2006. The movie was so powerful and heart-felt it made me cry and the book is just as brilliant. Some Of My Attitudes (that I've written down since then)
I hope this helps you to install all the good attitudes and great energy in you daily lives. Have a great Monday and One Love to you all xoxo
When it comes to expressing myself I've been very motivated lately, especially with fashion. I feel as if my style is developing which is natural as we all go through a phase of what we like and dislike. I posted this picture a few weeks with a quote about MY MISSION and it made me want to share another motivational post with you all. If you're feeling inspired and but don't know where to start I would suggest that you take a look at Fashion Magazines, Pinterest, Instagram, Shopping Websites or your favourite Influencers. Then create an inspirational board Make A Mood Board Mood Boards aren't just for those who make art and interiors. A mood board can help you to stay focused on attaining your goals, and keeping your mood buoyant. Start by gathering images of places you want to visit, style that inspire you, colours, fabric, swatches and inspiring quotes and snippets of poetry that make you smile every time you read them. Hang your mood board in a prominent place and keep adding to it as your goals and dreams evolve. Very Little is needed to make a happy life, it is all within yourself in your way of thinking. The How to be Happy book from Anna Barnes is one I dip in and out of whenever I need an extra little push. Have a great week guys and One Love to you all xoxo. Since Valentines Day I received a book " How to be HAPPY" and at first I was wondering why would someone give me a book like this as if I'm a sad person HA! Well, since I've been reading this book it really helps me to keep a positive mind and I thought I'd share some positive vibes but first, a little life update..... Decision Making The year started great, January was exciting times. It's March now and I think it's time to start thinking about the next steps in my career. Sometimes you can get caught up in the day to day grind and not look forward, so these motivational books are helping me feel excited about what's next to come. Motivational reads can really help make you feel better about yourself, your career and your goals once you put what you read into action. I'd like to share something every week and I hope you all take something from it. Take A Break With all that's been going on I am so excited for my upcoming travels in the next few weeks, I'll be on vacation with my family and I am just so happy about our little getaway. It will be a very busy trip seeing family and friends. I will definitely be taking loads of photos, once my camera doesn't act up and go crazy on me like when I went to Paris two years ago HA! On this holiday I hope to take my little man to Disneyland but lets see how it goes. (That made my face lit up like a little firefly with the biggest smile) How To Be Happy . Never apologise for being you and don't let anyone make you feel bad. It's Important to recognise the people in your life who feed your negative thinking or belittle you. Don't feel obliged to spend time with them, life is too short to waste time on people who don't have your best interests at heart. Have a great week. One Love xoxo! We spent the afternoon touring the old mill and taking loads of photographs and even though I had to chase my son round in circles because he wouldn't walk with me hand in hand, It was great day well-spent. Happy Sunday guy's xoxo!!!Outfit
