Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Its gets you going and plus it let you think straight.
As the sun rises my son wants his brekkie and just to avoid his impatience I prepare the night before and also a serving for myself. It's one of our favourites.
This bowl is filling and delicious. If you're a porridge lover, then you know that oats slowly releases energy for hours and end, so it'll be the prefect meal to kick start your day especially if you have a long one ahead. Just to let you know it has a consistency of an oatmeal.
I use organic oats, pour some in a bowl as much as you would like to eat but I will advice you that half of a cup is good enough.
Soak oats in milk, I use whole milk for my son and almond milk for myself. Make sure to pour enough milk just to cover the oats. not too much.
Add some honey a little sprinkle of cinnamon for flavour, cover with a lid or a cling fling, pop it in the fridge for overnight or for an hour until oats is soften. Now here is the fun bit, you get to add whatever fruits, seeds or nuts of your choice, now your breakfast was simple, healthy and ready to eat.
